WHAT: Union County Fair Parade – Organized by the Afton Lions Club

WHEN: 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2019

WHERE: Registration at 4 PM at the corner of Kansas and Colfax in front of Dave Love’s building.

CATEGORIES: 1) Floats, 2) Kids & Bikes, 3) Cars & Advertisements, 4) Tractors, & 5) Horses.

PRIZES: Three places in each category paying $25, $15 & $10. Winners announced before the Truck Pull at the Fair Grounds, pick up prizes in the Fair Board office following the parade.

LINE UP: Kids & Bikes south on Colfax.  Cars, Advertisement & Tractors to the north on Colfax. Floats and Horses to the east on Kansas.

ORDER OF PARADE: VFW with the flags will start the parade, followed by the Queen’s Court, then the fire trucks. Then the other categories, with the horses at the end

PARADE ROUTE: Start at corner of Kansas and Colfax, west to the SE corner of the Square, north on the east side of the Square, west one block, south on Hwy 169 two blocks, east on Filmore to the north entrance to the Fair Grounds, south to the top of the hill past the Cook Shack and Small Animal Building on the pavement then disperse either east to Grace street or west to Grand.
